Working Together - A detailed look at the Heathfield Pool Services 1957-1971

The complicated Heathfield Pool Services involved Southdown and Maidstone & District working six services jointly from seven (later eight) garages. Details of the introduction, working and eventual decline of the scheme are included together with previous and subsequent histories of the services involved, as are vehicle workings and timetables from May 1966 when one-person working was introduced by both companies. Fleet and Routes 1939

Southdown Fleet and Routes 1939 shows the fleet at 1 January 1939, together with the bus and express services operated at that time, details of the service fleet, the garages in use and much more. The booklet has six pages of photographs, a map of the services operated in 1939, and a colour cover. It is a useful companion to our Fleet History series. This edition is a completely updated version of the booklet published in 1974. Routes Handbooks The 2019 editions of Routes Handbooks are published by PHX Publications, but are available from SEC Sales. Part 1 covers Stagecoach South depots at Worthing, Chichester and Portsmouth, Part 2 covers Brighton & Hove, and Part 3  First Hants & Dorset [Hilsea and Hoeford depots].
