APRIL JOURNAL

The vast majority of news in this edition is connected with the Coronavirus - COVID 19 situation, with comprehensive details given of service reductions and electronic timetables issued on the internet for all the operators we cover.  Also, with the exception of First Hampshire and Dorset, there are details of vehicles stood down as surplus to current service requirements.

Again there is an ‘The Old Southdown’ feature, which we hope will be of interest to many.

This 56 page edition with seven photographs (six of them topical and in colour) has now been printed and will be put into the post fairly early during week commencing 4th May, although due to the high volume of mail that Royal Mail is now experiencing and the fact the Friday 8th May is a Public Holiday, it may take longer in the post than is usual.

 CORONAVIRUS

(COVID-19)
SITUATION

POSTAL SALES DEPARTMENT

In view of the current situation we regret that our Postal Sales department is currently closed.

This is not only because of the government's directive that people should stay at home except for a number of clearly defined reasons, but also to reduce risk as far as possible to SEC volunteers connected with this activity.

We will review the situation as soon as overall conditions improve, and hope that it will not be too long before we are again able despatch our publications through the post.

PHOTO CIRCUIT

Given that the postal service continues to operate relatively normally it has been possible to resume despatch of approval colour selections on a limited basis to a number of individuals who regularly receive them and are in a position to deal with them. However the Photo Circuit is unlikely to be able to fully resume normal operation and respond to specific requests until the general situation improves, when a further announcement will be made.
