Club meetings take place three times a year (usually towards the end of the month in January, March and October) in the Ronuk Hall at Portslade Town Hall, Victoria Road, Portslade, BN41 1YF.
SEC publications, photographs and other items are usually available for purchase at our meetings.
Transport enthusiasts who are not members of the SEC will be welcome to attend our meetings.
The club has been advised by Brighton & Hove City Council that before the Ronuk Hall at Portslade Town Hall can be reopened for meetings the council has to undertake a risk assessment to ensure that it meets government guidelines relating to Covid-19. Currently the council is unable to confirm if the risk assessment will be completed and the hall reopened before our meeting on 31st October 2020. The club committee has therefore taken the decision to cancel the October meeting. We will continue to liaise with the council regarding the January 2021 meeting.
Every summer the Club organises an evening mystery tour for members of local bus groups to a topical destination or by covering old Southdown routes. Usually preserved vehicles are used; there is a stop for refreshments and photo opportunities are provided.
A Mystery Tour will not take place in 2020 due to the Coronavirus situation.
